What does “edgy” mean?

photography

Well, it’s really in the eye of the beholder.  But, there is a difference between your typical “snapshot” and an image captured by a professional photographer.  It’s about the sum of the parts in our mind.  The fun part is working with the model to make their vision of what they think is “beautiful” a reality.  Then, we stylize it and give it a “look”, or what some people call “edgy”.

Professional Lighting makes a huge difference.

Professional Lighting makes a huge difference.

Beyond the techy stuff (yes we have $thousands of dollars worth of high end Canon gear, expensive lenses, pro lighting and more), we are artists, set designers and know how to shape a female figure with proper lighting.  In addition, we don’t believe in retouching the skin until it looks plastic.  We do stylize the image so, no, it is not the image straight out of the camera.  It is retouched to the point of looking professional.  It is not retouched to the point that the image no longer looks human.  Do women look like a Barbie doll in real life?  Really?  No they have real skin, with real pores.

Oh yah, and the darn pimple that decided to show up on the day of your shoot – of course that will be on the photoshop chopping block.
